A technology company that ships.
Spinne Software makes its own software instead of taking contracts. It is one engineer in Rome, and the order of the work is deliberate: build the machinery once, then build the products that stand on it.
Why products rather than clients
Contract work pays for someone else's roadmap. Owning the product means the engineering compounds instead of being handed over — every system Sparkle needed, the next thing inherits.
It also means the questions everyone defers were ours to settle at the beginning: what happens when a card fails, whether an invoice is legally valid, how a job that dies halfway gets accounted for.
Answering those early is not caution. It is what makes a second product cheap.
One engineer, and what that buys
Nothing is lost in translation between the person who decided something and the person who built it, and every part of the system still has an author who can explain why it is the way it is. What it costs is parallelism: one thing at a time, finished.
What exists
Sparkle — a desktop video editor with GPU rendering, local AI for matting, segmentation and depth, hardware encoding across four vendor stacks, team accounts, per-seat subscriptions, metered credits and Italian electronic invoicing. In private preview at sparkle.software. What it does · how it is built.
The exact position
Diligence questions arrive eventually, so here are the answers in advance, including the ones that are no.
- Security controls: implemented, not audited. Role-based access, tenant isolation with tests that prove it, append-only audit logs, second-person approval on sensitive administrative actions, GDPR retention and erasure across the schema, credential rotation with recorded evidence. All built, and we will walk anyone through any of it. There is no SOC 2 attestation and no ISO/IEC 27001 certificate.
- Card data never reaches us. Payments go through Stripe. No card number touches a system we operate.
- On GDPR we build the mechanism; a controller writes the policy. Retention and erasure implemented in the schema rather than described in a document.
- We build on Claude, GPT-5 and Gemini for the assistant; Google Veo, Kling, MiniMax Hailuo and Luma Ray for video; Nano Banana, FLUX, Seedream and Ideogram for images; ElevenLabs for voice, sound and dubbing; Suno for music; Topaz for restoration. They are reached through fal.ai, OpenRouter, AI/ML API and Higgsfield; payments run through Stripe, and speech to text through Deepgram and Google Cloud. Integration only — not a partnership, endorsement or affiliation.
